Who should replace Frank Lampard?

Yeah because he's going to come out and say "as soon as I found out carlo was leaving, I couldn't get out of their fast enough".

I'm sure there a sound bite of benitez saying he wanted to keep James somewhere.

The fact the lad couldn't be bothered to show up for the lap of honor when the fans were dying to see him tells me everything about how he felt about this club.

Bielsa was my pick when this poll was first made and would be my pick now.

Could it end up being a Hindenburg level disaster? Absolutely.

But we ain't getting Poch and we ain't getting Tuchel. Of the realistic options Biesla is easily the standout for me.

He is everything that Lampard wasn't, and would show up to the club with both an in depth tactical analysis of our squad/previous matches and a complete list of targets to improve us.

Also that hand grenade story is great. Wouldn't mind him walking into the boardroom and trying something similar.

Thats why I want someone like Gallardo, a manager who nobody has really got a proper opinion on.

Will never happen of course and would be risky at this point in the season anyway.
To be fair to @TheBigIguana he keeps saying we need someone who has never been in the PL. I actually get what he and you are saying based purely on your statement.

I actually like bielsa but I understand others won’t. People will like dyche and others won’t. We wouldn’t have these discussions with gallardo until some turd finds something on YouTube.

My issues with Bielsa...

At 67, it hardly screams "long term plan"
Could he get the players to the required level of fitness etc mid-season?
Do we have anything like the sort of players we'd need to make his way of playing work?
He is renowned for just doing one when things at the club aren't the way he likes it - imagine what would happen at this club!
Is going for a front foot, charge of the light brigade type manager really going to give us the best chance of not getting relegated?

On the other hand...

Not doubting he's a tactical pioneer
If we get relegated, it wouldn't be his fault and he'd be a good starting point in trying to get us back up
It would be fun

I would be all over Bielsea as a summer appointment. I suppose there is half a season to go still but he wont have a lot of money or time to change things. Then again nobody will.
