Viva la quinta brigada ! No Passeràn was the cry.I wasn’t great at maths at school, but even I know that if you don’t concede, you can’t lose the game.
So the first thing you do is say “ye shall not pass”. Great teams are built on an impenetrable defence.
It's easier to rule out players from this statement. The only ones I don't think this was aimed at are Gordon, Richarlison, Pickford and Coleman. I think the rest could easily be the targets of that criticism.
I think that what we are discovering is that we have a youth system that literally provides nothing in terms of support for the first team. Given that the likes of Gomes have been appalling for years and still get in ahead of every youth player is astounding. No wonder they don't feel any pressure for their starting position. If we have under 23's who aren't capable of competing for a place with him then we might as well shelve the lot of them. (I don't necessarily feel that this is the case but our managers certainly seem to).Don’t be a buffoon

I’d say Dobbin is worth giving a start, he has pace and will put a shift in.I’m highly critical of our youth players from a skill level but I do know there are a few with the required energy, pace and mettle that one requires in a relegation fight. Skill certainly isn’t on show regardless in the first XI.
Not sure about plenty. Probably three or four maxPlenty of them do give their all though, so won't appreciate being lumbered with the ones that turn up when they want.
Yknow I was about to jokingly ask of anyone had suggested 'the fans'.From the stuff I'm having messaged to me from supporters of other clubs, he should be blaming the fans like the guardian podcast has apparently done.
It's our fault that we can't do the basics of football.
I blame you entirely. I can't believe you offered tosun 100k a week for 5 years. What were you thinking?Yknow I was about to jokingly ask of anyone had suggested 'the fans'.
Dear oh dear the Guardian.
He offered to take me to his hair dealer/sculptor. Honestly, it looked amazing on the day. As a baldy I couldn't refuse the offer. Seemed a fair deal. Now I've got pube bonce.I blame you entirely. I can't believe you offered tosun 100k a week for 5 years. What were you thinking?
I have now seen a couple of the so called pundits are now criticising Frank for publicly calling out his own players. I realise that these pundits need to keep saying things which are controversial to ensure they publicise themselves but what on earth do they expect. Everyone who watched the FA Cup game witnessed a capitulation of a team in the face of not very much. Frank needs to do something to try and get a reaction from the players, praising them and trying to build confidence hasn't worked. Personally I would dock their wages on the grounds they are not fulfilling their contractual obligations.
