Just looked on wiki and seen he was their player of the year last season.

Not a regular for England youth though (based on wiki)

21 now and uncapped at that level.

Everyone was mocking on here (including me) when we were linked with Scott dann in the summer. Didn't come from a big club or international experience. But you don't have to buy internationals for them to still be good business for the club. Butland would be my no.1 choice but the competition we would face for his services it would seem unlikely for him to come here. I think he will end up at united in the summer when de gea finally gets his move to real. Robles isn't the man to be our no.1 so I'd like to see a keeper brought in from jan (karius/horn) with the intention he will get game time over the course of the remainder of the season with the intention he will be our number 1 next season.

This is why ive been saying that for some players we need to move on them now and not in the summer. Of the top 4 and spurs they already have keepers now but like you say UTD may need one in summer.

I agree that if we go for a 22 year old keeper they should be bought in Jan and given time to settle in.

Howard is one of those keepers who is as fit as a fiddle and think they can go on, so, wouldn't surprise me to still see him here for the next 3/4 years.
