yeah. i'd like him, but he'd be way too pricey. The thing is, some players may view stoke as being just as good a proposition as us. We'd laugh at it, but they have got some really great attacking options in shaqiri, bojan, arnoutavic and affelay.

He'd probably not even force a move because he'd want to leave for bigger things, but probably not view us a massive step up. all very plausible.
Well, according to his agent, Dnipro have recevied offers from "2 very good English mid-table clubs", didn't say which clubs in particular but it's two of Everton, Stoke, Palace, Leicester or Southampton. I say "linked" because I'm unsure if we'll actually sign him given Roberto's blind love for Howard. He'd be an amazing signing but I dunno if it's ever gonna happen tbh.

He would be a good signing

These are Naismith level of goalkeepers and not good enough to be 1st choice:

Ospina
Heaton
Schmeichel
Marshall
Ruddy
Robles
Howard

Bentley or similar should be brought in as Butland was at Stoke then loaned out to a championship team...Stoke were clever we should be too.

Karius/Horn have huge potential if Martinez goes overseas.

Boyko has only 3 caps for Ukraine at the age of 27. He's in the UEFA shortlist as hes only conceded 0.75 goals a game which could mean the defence is top notch, who knows? Unless a really late developer seems strange.

Personally i dont understand why people are saying "Butland would never join us" to me thats extremely negative. We have Stones,Baines,Jagielka and Barkley in the England squad and joining us would put him far more in the limelight than at Stoke. Also the talk of "hed cost £20mil which is too much" to me is daft...he'd be 1st choice for 15 years and provide far more value than an outfield player for the same amount. I would be amazed if he didnt try and push through a move and the only reason we couldnt get him is if Stoke do what we did with Stones.

If we had £30mil to spend id have no problem doing £20mil on Butland and move out some players for outfield signings budget. Its a crucial position and we should be thinking long term to get the best available.

It also sends a message to the rest of the team that we mean business. I think he will get in front of Hart after the Euros.

There really are a lot around. Just not English ones. Like has been stated here: Germany. That place has so many great goalies its unbelievable.

I take no notice of the Bundesliga Riddick, any chance you can give us a few examples of keepers that would likely cost less than £10m and see us an attractive move?

Marshall? Gone abit quiet on him recently
Heaton? Is he a step up from Joel
Young keeper from abroad? Is it a risk to throw a GK straight into another league and expect him to be top quality from the off, or would we be patiant enough to let him find his feet in the league
Joel? I dont know if he is the answer nut i think he has earned a shot at the no1 position, even though i think he has a glaring mistake in him too

He has either got the ability or has not, regardless of what league he is in.

Ben Garrat Crewe Alex 21 years old England regular at youth levels .
Next big sale for crewe Alex scouts at every game watching him

I already feel a tad sorry for whoever takes over as our new number 1. Because he will consistently take the slack for those around him not doing their basic defensive duties (see Barkley and Barry).

Jordan Pickford at PNE looked at too. Hes on loan there but the club have watched him twice. Probably for the future though.
