He’d be a great appointmentLooking at Kovac’s managerial stats, if he’s not been approached then that’s sheer lunacy.

So we have Steve Cooper who has just joined Forest (never going to leave) and Frank Lampard, all unproven at the top level. Yet you don’t want Martinez because he had a couple of tough seasons with a minimal budget. You need to rethink it mate. When he was a very young coach making his way in the game as far as I am aware. Doesn't concern me at all. I think he's a very smart coach.
I still want Lampard, but there are lots of decent options to consider if we could be bothered to do proper assessment of the situation and not just reappoint a former sacked manager
Martinez I’m convinced would take us down. Ferguson would get us the points we need to survive and it would give us time to assess our options between now and the summer. The worry though is that Moshiri then goes chasing someone like Mourinho and we just repeat the cycle of the last 6 months again next season.

I don't agree with saying someone would definitely take us down. You can't be certain of something that is clearly very uncertain. I don't want Martinez but we aren't doomed.
To be fair, no one, even the people who didnt want him here, expected Benitez to be as bad as he has been. We’ve got half a season to pick up 20 pts, we need someone, even for the short term who can galvanise the players and supporters because they need to be in tandem more than ever before, If this doesn’t happen then we’re doomed,
I’d reluctantly give it to Ferguson & Baines and start again in the summer, as when fit the team more or less picks itself,
What a terrible position this board and owner have put the club in.
Which is exactly why he won't even be considered.Looking at Kovac’s managerial stats, if he’s not been approached then that’s sheer lunacy.
Moshiri will hire a yes man and we'll be visiting this topic again in 12 months
What makes you think Lampard will do a good job here? He dis average with a decent Chelsea squad. God know what he would do with this lot.Nope I don't need to rethink. I have my opinion on manager's going back and my opinion is that it rarely works and should be avoided. That's why I wouldn't appoint Martinez, or Moyes, or even Ancelotti again.
The key issue now though is time, he was never going to get it, whoever comes in now hasn’t got it.To be fair, no one, even the people who didnt want him here, expected Benitez to be as bad as he has been.
Even I expected worst case 12th
