Have half the feeling that the club is holding off until tomorrow to do a massive PR blitz on deadline day (when the media circus is in full force)

Lampard, his coaching team, Cahill as Technical Director and 2-3 players all unveiled in one massive 'feel good' offensive in order to try change the media narrative on the club.

If done right something like that could actually work, but it's Everton so....
You have too much faith in the club if you think we're even planning this, let alone pulling it off.

It’s a bit far fetched for Lampard’s detractors to suggest that we could have got a Zidane or a Poch. Even Graham Potter turned us down and he’s lost 40% of his matches at Brighton!

Lampard is a good young manager with a good track record. Derby hadn’t been near the upper echelons of the Championship for many years and yet he got them to the play-off final at Wembley. Likewise he guided Chelsea to a top 4 finish and an FA Cup final just after they sold their best player Hazard. And let’s not forget that Lampard wasn’t allowed to sign a single player during that time due to the transfer embargo that had been imposed on Chelsea.

People like to moan for the sake of it but it really doesn’t help. Let’s get behind our new manager and at least give him a chance.

Do you reckon Potter was formerly approached?

Woah there, with nobody in charge of communications until Tuesday. It would be very Everton to go off on a half baked, disorganised media blitz taking the new managers focus away from where it needs to be on deadline day.

It was more the aspect of announcing a manager and two to three signings, all within a series of organised releases, that I think is fanciful. Why?

I'll be pleasantly surprised if we make an addition before the window closes, let alone a few. Whether Lampard is here by then is another question too.

No. The reason being that his quotes to the press and comments behind the scenes suggested we had little to no chance of appointing him as our manager.

Anyone considering Zidane or Pochettino as even slightly realistic targets are far too familiar with FM or FIFA.

Nah mate I have little faith in anything the club does.

Only way something like that comes about is if it came from Cahill as no one 'currently' here would have the faintest clue

I see I have underestimated your underestimation of Everton's competence.
