Can we close this as Robles is winning!
We need a new 'keeper. Howard is a liability - but Robles is 10 times the liability. Anyone who thinks otherwise is off their head!

Robles wouldn't even get the shout for the Capital Cup game against Norwich if I had my way. He's gonna cost us in that competition....mark my words!
Kept three clean sheets last year in the premier first game A Derby at home oh a clean sheet as he came for the ball!

Neville Southall.

Haven't voted because the use of best in the poll is a fallacy. More like "least bad".

...Howard is our best keeper because the Manager picks him ahead of Robles. If Robles was the better he would play. Goalkeeper has never been a transfer priority but it's definitely creeping up the list, there's a keeper at Southend who I reckon is worth keeping an eye on.

It's been number one on my list for years.

Echoes of lads clamouring for Garbutt to replace Baines last season. Joel isn't the solution. I would have given him a run last season when we were safe and had nothing to lose but that time is over now. Howard has been good this season, our second walloping hasn't changed that.

He's been Ok but I really do think we need and are able to get a better keeper and should have done it a long time ago.

For those clamoring for a better option in January, do you really think we have the funds to improve this position?

Begovic was 8 mil in the summer.

I think we all agree that we need to improve this position, but at what cost? The shouts for Butland are out of our price range IMO...thinking in the 15 mil range for him. If Joel is your answer, then sadly IMO you are not looking to improve the position, you are just going for an anybody but Howard argument which is silly. Howard is better than Joel. If Joel was better than Howard the manager that bought him would have given him his chance.
