Who's your money on in the takeover 'battle'?

This is the part that makes no sense, if they wanted to run Everton they could’ve been doing it by now. I suspect any talk of them being a party is false or designed to further their bid for a piece of Spurs.

Might be the make up that security though mate, would they want to leave Moshiri sitting there with a 49% stake of his shareholding, with them likely to need a lot of finance to fund the club, stadium finance, invest and restructure the debt - would you do all that for someone's else's benefit - they may be trying to shift him all together and that's their part of the negotiation.

Would you give Everton all it needs in terms of human resource and actual resource, for just over half a controlling stake and make someone else money.

Also it would be useful to get rid of R&M as they have security over all our players and assets - so they may be negotiating a restructure of the debt and that will take time, could be wanting all that resolved before striking all out on a full takeover.

Thats the only sense it makes to me.

Not sure

But these things take time. The previous deal took about 8 months and wasn't completed

All becuase they didn't have the funds in the first place, hence why the PL put conditions in place.

Whether the "5" circling/bidding have the funding is another question but, on the assumption they do, it would be a smoother process.

777 were wrong'uns from the start and it wasn't a win for Everton to get them out the picture, probably a win for modern football because they are exactly the type of owners who were never interested in the footballing side.
