Who's your money on in the takeover 'battle'?

Everton support City in battle against ban on owner connected sponsorship, then links to the investment firm that manages the wealth the Dell family pop up the next day.

If only we lived in a world where nice things happened to Everton...

BDT & MSD Partners, the merchant bank and investment firm, is ready to provide financing to the club as part of a takeover, said people with knowledge of the matter. The US bank has not agreed to back either of the creditors yet, those people said, but is willing to support the most credible buyer.

In January 2023, BDT & MSD was formed from the merger of BDT & Company, a merchant bank founded by Byron Trott that provides advice and capital to family and founder-led companies, and MSD Partners, an investment firm that manages the wealth of Michael Dell and his family.
Where is this from? Initially thought MSD was a typo in the Auclair tweet but now seems to be a separate entity owned by Michael Dell of Dell computers. Networth of over 100 billion USD.

I find this amusing. Bell & Downing are only the real offering who are not either existing creditors or someone just looking to make a quick few £.

A turbocharged RMF.

Essentially. Although probably seen as less shady than RMF, Vibrac etc.

They've lent to West Brom, Sunderland, Derby, Southampton, West Ham and of course Burnley.

West Ham actually used the MSD money to repay what they owed to RMF.

Going to go for MSP + Bell/Downing as the former are already too indebted in the Club and it would be good to have two acknowledged, erudite and business savvy Blues on the board who exude business acumen, won't make the same mistakes as those of our current owner and are unlikely to have the same egoistic and self-serving attributes of the late-Chairman.

Other than that, some multi-billionaire who just wants to splash the cash but puts in place the right framework and people who are capable of running us as an international business and in a way to make us a thriving success.

But we will probably end up with some hooky pay day lenders who will flog off the remaining family silver and look to make a fast buck. Everton that!
