Yep. Ellis Short, Randy Lerner, Mike Ashley had all completely lost the fan base..we are looking remarkably similar. You’re not wrong but Let’s be honest I’ll add another a disconnect between fans and owner , that always seems to tag on to the back of the owner point .
I think we are very much in the Newcastle/villa/Leeds category now. It's only a matter of time. The mismanagement of the club is staggering.Sometimes you need a sticking plaster mate, otherwise it becomes gangrene an you lose a limb (relegation).
Dyche got Burnley promoted twice - joined in Oct, got them promoted. They went right back down, and then he got them back up first time of asking. We might need that experience.
Came 7th in 2017/18 and 10th in 19/20 with Burnley mate.At what point since Dyche was never guaranteed points from any game has Dyche become guaranteed to get points from a game? Since he stopped managing?
I'd rather get relegated and flush out as much of the dead wood as possible, get in a manager with a plan and try and fix the club in the long-run than appoint Sean Dyche and stay up on the last day of the season.
Club needs a serious jolt to the system and relegation, as bad as it would be, might give us that.
Sack bad managers though. There are some managers who are just clearly bad coaches and it's a pity the majority were Super Super FrankTo be fair we had to stop sacking managers, but annoyingly the time we decided to stop was with the worst, however its not all his fault and he is a nice guy so i dont fully hold it against hime
For all of our woes at the minute at every level of the club, I still believe we will not be relegated. The reason is this league is crap and yes I know we’re probably the worst team right now there’s no denying that but we have enough quality to get out of it, Forest we’re dead and buried 2 months ago, so we’re Leicester, Newcastle last season were gone. There’s a very long way to go yet.Been a few discussions and threads on here on this matter of late ain't there?
@matty1878's thread being one where @davek was introducing a measure of optimimism not dissimilar to the argument here- we're not dead if we make changes (manager and staff).
My big worry is that if we do make a dramatic managerial change and bring in players it'll be a car crash. We've got that feeling about us. It's not necessarily a rational view, but we give off bad vibes as a club. That other clubs have given off in recent times and then gone down. Nothing I've not said previously tbf.
I live in hope rather than expectation. And we all know what hope does, right?
no. I'm saying he was never guaranteed points... Burnley lost plenty of home games against teams below them. I just don't see how a manager that has been relegated, was heading toward it last season, has a very dated style of play would guarantee safety. It's grim that he is our only realistic replacement, that's allCame 7th in 2017/18 and 10th in 19/20 with Burnley mate.
He is 100% a better manager than Lampard and beat him easily tactically at Turf Moor last season. You saying he is so bad that he gets 0 points at home vs two teams bottom of the league??
Sometimes I think we will be ok as our players just have to ve better then this, if we can just a boost, a brake, like the Iwobi goal last season against Newcastle, we need a moment to spark usFor all of our woes at the minute at every level of the club, I still believe we will not be relegated. Relegation is a black hole. You see where Sheff Wed are right now?I'd rather get relegated and flush out as much of the dead wood as possible, get in a manager with a plan and try and fix the club in the long-run than appoint Sean Dyche and stay up on the last day of the season.
