Why we dont 'need' investment

Of course we need investment. When we're boss the best we can expect financially is to sell more seats, most of them with restricted views. New investment would allow us to invest in infrastructure as well as the squad and, done properly, could turn us into a regular Champions League side. Under the existing setup the best we can hope for is European football and the odd crack at a cup.Given the chance, we can do better than that.

Our net spend last season was -12.5M, up to now our net spend this season is -8.3m. we can't carry on like this. we need
investment.

Rather someone give us a new stadium and do one!
keep the same supporters, increase money on the gate.
keep our passion and earn money to buy players..the way it should be done!

Net spend, 07/08 to 11/12 Man City £430.77 Chelsea £159.7 Liverpool £99.25 Sunderland £57.6 Spurs £49.4 Man Utd £47.25 Everton £5 million

Of course we need investment.
Champions with half what the ****e have spent even.

We don't need loads of investment, we only need like say £15 million a season which will keep us competitive without having to sell our best players

We absolutely need investment...a couple of decent wins doesn't change that and, really, neither would winning the league.

I was discusing this yesterday with someone. If even by some miracle that we were to win the league, we wouldnt change overnight. The chances are, our best players would be bought and we would be back to square one. The stadium is a key issue, but other than that, the playing side of it doesnt need a huge amount thrown at it. As someone else said earlier on, I think if Moyes got to spend what he has this summer, he could consistently keep us in the top 4.

Threads like this always pop up after a win or two. It's nonsense. We need investment urgently. Good results on the pitch are papering over the cracks - both figuratively and literally as Goodison is falling apart.

Why we DO need Investment:

Manchester United
Manchester City
Chelsea

More over:
Tottenham
Newcastle
Liverpool
Arsenal

All teams we are competing with for that fourth spot/Eurpoa league spots and are all spending truck loads more than us and yet we remain competitive. We don't need and oil rich arab to recreate the whole team, we just need someone with enough funds to get us the two players we need in the first XI (RB and CM) which in turn will add to depth.

Unless we have a team that is winning trophies every year we still need investment. In fact even if we had a team conquering Europe we'd still need investment.

Problem is there are too many evertonians that think top 6 and an occasional final appearance is good enough.

For me I'd settle for two things:

- Investment into the club infrastructure - ie stadium so we can improve turnover in order to sustain a better squad. By that I do not mean hair brained schemes like Kirkby.

- A board who could front the money so Moyes at least was in buy to sell mode rather than sell to buy. I have no problem with the club living within its means in the transfer market but it would be nice if we had the cashflow to act earlier in the transfer window.

Maybe the OP can get in contact with fellaini and moyes tell them why we don't need investment, before they both [Poor language removed] next summer.
