First act in charge of Everton? Hands the failure Walter Smith a contract extension. That's how shrewd Billy Liar is.
Shrewd enough not to make the same mistake twice. Let's face it, Dave, you don't like BK so you'll never be satisfied.

It truly does.
What comes across from many loud and clear: "Ooooh, it's a nasty world out there beyond Bill; it's frightening to take a chance...we might get it wrong and it all leads to disaster. Let's just keep our heads down and appreciate what we have"
When the **** did Evertonians become such utter cowards?
Cowards? Who the **** are you to label Evertonians cowards? Shame on you.
Sad that you're that lost in your bile filled anti Kenwright (& Moyes - lol) agenda that you've decided that Blues being happy with the start to the season = everyones happy with the status quo in the boardroom.
It's truly toe-curling stuff.
The club is a basket case, one bad season away from a catastrophe. The manager is currently six players down on the threadbare squad he ended last season with, but "we dont need investment".
The lunatics really have taken over the asylum.
Papering over the cracks here. Just like people are with the summer signings.
We need investment to get to the next level. I dont wanna be 'plucky little Everton' who get top 10 on a ****e budget. I wanna be the Everton who attract top quality players from around the world and compete for major honours. Under Kenwright and co. thats not happening.
Fury? I'd be over the moon if we ever won another trophy. You really write some tripe sometimes.
The undoubted FACT of the matter is that it will NEVER, EVER happen under this regime. 13 years this failure of a chairman has been in charge and we have a shoeing from Chelsea in one cup final to show for it.
You think that's a good performance and are happy with 'the progress'? Great stuff. If you dont mind though I'll continue seeing it for what it is: a disgrace.
Is why we need investment.
I do think the chairman/manager relationship at the club is special though and why we are a very stable club. I don't think it's that 'special' that it should override a takeover though.
I think if Moyes was asked, 'Do you want to be best mates with a skint owner, or do you want a purely business relationship with a mega rich owner?', he'd take option 2 every time.
Undoubtedly the best post in the thread. It should end here. With me having the last word. The thread should have ended on the first page.
No investment - Going backwards.
Investment which is spent wisely on promising players/established players - Going forwards.
Investment on crap which Villa have done - Just no.
The reason Villa are like that is because they spunk a **** load on average players. Darren Bent cost around £24 million and we have Jelavic who cost a snippet of that and is better in my opinion. They overspend on English players who's value is high. We however only spend fairly low amounts on English talent, unless we produce it ourselves. Our big money signings are usually foreigners and you can see with people like Fellaini and Jelavic why that is wiser.
If we keep signing people like that, and with Mirallas who showed some nice movement yesterday, we are well on our way to competing for European places consistently and pushing on even further.
We need investment, every club does.
