Why we dont 'need' investment

We can also look at it this way.. earlier seasons Moyes have had to sell to buy new faces to the squad. This season he hasn't been forced to sell anyone he can't see Everton cope without.

But I agree.. I wish Kenwright could pump some more money into the club to help Moyes improve the squad.

We'll miss Rodwell hugely if Gibson gets injured. Him, baines and jelavic are the three first teamers with no adequate cover at all.

We're not really like a lot of clubs fans though TBF. Most I know would be happy to see the club run better rather than wasting millions on crap players, like a few sides have done.

Some try and portray any dissenters as foaming at the mouth wanting Millions we haven't got. It's nonsense.

Man CIty - investment - from mid-table prem yoyo club to Current League CHampions with world class players

i think that says it all, forget pompey and west ham and others, they got in the **** because no one really screened their backers to see what they were like, they were just told they would invest and they fell for it. We aren't mug like they are.

Come on lads, no need for any tit-for-tat stuff.

We do have financial restrictions at the club, which perhaps we wouldn't have with a wealthier board/owners. Costly mistakes have been made in the past under the current owner - if Kings Dock had happened, who knows where we'd be by now (or owned by). Kirkby & the failed Park End redevelopment were/are costly cock ups too.

To Kenwright's credit though, he does back Moyes as much as he possibly can (given his own - self-imposed? - restrictions) and the two do have arguably the best chairman-manager relationship in the Prem, which is a major part of why the club is so settled and Moyes has/is always so content at the club.

We're doing well at the moment, no need for any points scoring from either side.

Mirallas & Naismith could provide cover for Jelavic.

I agree about the other two though, especially left back.

That said, the money for Rodwell - a back up squad player - was too good to turn down. We won't miss him that much, if at all.

Oh, I agree we are weak to injuries on some players. But the fact is that Moyes choose to sell Rodwell, he didn't have to. He choose to sell one backup-player to bolster other parts of the team. Jelavic is a striker, but so is Mirallas that we got for the sell of Rodwell. Moyes also have some money left of the sell and he probably has his eyes on one or two more players.

It's not ideal, but we are in another position now than we have been over the last few summers. And lets face it, most teams have a few players that they don't have adequate cover for.
