Oh, come on! Howard might of cost us two points today, but there are MANY MANY games where he wins us points. Sure he makes a few mistakes, but overall he is a quality keeper. Van Der Sar, Cech, Friedel, Buffon, and a lot of top keepers all have their bad days.

Howard is a decent shot stopper thats it. he doesn't commmand his box, he is rooted to his line most of the time, his thinking is so slow and he missies loads of oppotunites to start quick attacks and his distribution is awful.

Did not think we played to well myself and could have done a lot better, yeah the ball span when we conceeded, but it took that goal for us to wake up and start attacking which showed when we did try we scored for me, thats what i thought anyway, and i would not change howard at all in any game

I never said that.

And I vehemently disagree with the rest of your post. Absolutely NOT fact. Perhaps you could go back and watch countless youtube videos to prove it.

Youtube isn't an argument. I've admitted he makes some decent saves now and then but every goalie makes them so YouTube isn't really any evidence. Before todays game the statistics from this season tell that he's made 57 saves and let in 26 goals, the 15th best save% in the league.

Fellaini's midfield partnerships have been pretty hit and miss since Arteta came back from the injury he suffered at Newcastle. When Arteta was out Fellaini hit a purple patch when he had either Osman or Pienaar partnering him in the middle of the park. Week in week out he dominated. The Fellaini/Rodwell pairing has never come close to it.

Moyes has the option to turn to Pienaar again I suppose but I suspect he brought him back to pacify Baines and shore up the left hand side. We need to see how Gibson pans out. Rodwell/Felli is not the magic bullet.

I think that would be the best option, personally, Fellaini holding and either Pienaar or Osman alongside him. One thing you notice about Pienaar is how much quickly he passes the ball than the vast majority of our team. He pings them into feet. Osman doesn't quite have that, but he's willing to take that extra touch, has quick feet and a good short passing game.

I'd like to see that, especially in game against weaker opposition. Fellaini would have to play deeper though, we've been using Gibson as an anchor and pushing Fellaini noticeably higher up the pitch in the last few games. I'd be interested to see Pienaar in the middle.

is that it?
I'm guessing we were watching the same feed so I will take back my disagreement on "slow on starting quick attacks". Only because they don't actually show what's happening in front of Howard. all they show is Howard holding the ball so I don't think anyone can say if starting quick attacks would be beneficial.

Better?

It should have happened today mate when cahill went off. pienaar was our only creative outlet. to bring neville on wasn't just a disgrace but an embarresment for everton fc.

What do you mean youtube isn't any evidence? It's actual visual evidence that he's more than just "athletic." In games where he's in an Everton shirt.

Yeah, I've seen those goals he's let in this season, and the saves. So? He's not the reason we are where we are.
