If it’s covering your pond, it’s best to clear it, as takes oxygen out of the water, making it tough for the other stuff in the pond to compete.

Seems to be common every summer, they have had to rescue a couple of dogs by me as they think it's an extension of the grass and go bounding across!

If it’s covering your pond, it’s best to clear it, as takes oxygen out of the water, making it tough for the other stuff in the pond to compete.

Nickname Jimmy Green teeth when I was a young lad - your spot on makes the water go stagnant - My old Grandad used to cycle from Huyton along the railway line to Cronton colliery on his push-bike - he was a pit late one morning & decided when a train was coming on the line he cycled on to ride on the massive sewerage pipes below it was a pond full of the green Jimmy green teeth - he & the bike slipped off & he had to do a U turn home full of it & it stunk
Covered in it - Tin Bath hanging on the wall, he had to have a bath - he worked there from the age of 11 - till he was 65 - They gave him a watch & chain .....
