No. But I think there may have been a pond or water feature in the garden before we moved in. Found a few frogs here and there but there's no sitting water

I’ve found frogs in all kinds of mad places mate, miles away from water.

The common denominator every time I’ve found them, is that there’s always been long damp grass or a damp shady corner wherever I’ve found them.

They’re quite happy as long as their skin is wet / damp and shady, with cover.

I spotted this Tui on some flax this morning. Iconic native NZ bird with a sweet range of tunes. There are 2 white balls on the neck which are used to make the sounds.

Cutting some big shrubs back for next year today and this little fella joined us. Never seen anything so tame. Jumping on gardening equipment as we used it and literally touching us and skipping away. He's still hopping around in the freshly uncovered soil now....4 hours later

Living on the side of the canal you get to see the regulars, we have had the same pair of swans for a few years who are known as Mr and Mrs Bumble. This year they had 5 Cygnets and it's that time of year when they start to chase them off. They chased the first one off last week and he now about 2 mile further up the canal. Today was the turn of baby No. 2. It's only nature but it's quiet sad to see as the Mom and Dad , who have been so protective since birth, suddenly being quiet cruel with the nipping and shoving, the baby about 1/2 mile up canal but everytime he tries to swim back the dad there to shove him off again.

….Mrs Eggs and I went for our daily stroll this morning and we noticed plenty of geese in arrow formations heading South. No Sat nav required, nature such an amazing thing.
