Wildlife in your Garden

I’ve found frogs in all kinds of mad places mate, miles away from water.

The common denominator every time I’ve found them, is that there’s always been long damp grass or a damp shady corner wherever I’ve found them.

They’re quite happy as long as their skin is wet / damp and shady, with cover.
The word you are looking for is they are amphibious, plus not safe in a fish pond as the males like to have sex with my Koi carp or large Goldfish & can crush them to death ....

I always hook them out with my net - made it impossible for them to return to spawn now with a new net over my pond - my fish eat the spawn anyway ...... The net is also to provide protection from local Herons - from the local golf club where they love the lake there ....

…..watch yourself, Joey, seems like nothing is safe from those little creatures;

No wildlife apart from some local cottontail rabbits that have been nibbling but I don't have any pictures of them since they're so spookish, but I have caught them in the act before. This is just a photo of the garden we're currently running. Tomatoes red cabbage, broccoli, squash and dragon roll peppers. Now's the Time to grow here since it's not so damn hot out. Have three different types of tomatoes growing but the other two are in pots elsewhere.

….Mrs Eggs and I went for our daily stroll this morning and we noticed plenty of geese in arrow formations heading South. No Sat nav required, nature such an amazing thing.
They are flying around most mornings Eggs.

They roost mainly on Frodsham marshes , but fly around and graze in different areas around Merseyside especially on the freshly harvested fields that leave the stuble they feed on .
Around 200 flew over our house this morning around 100 yesterday.
All in V formations.

A large number appear to live, for part of the year, on Blundell Hills Golf Course. Can become a bit of an obstacle course on the fairways with their droppings.
