Wildlife in your Garden

I`d always try to feed them something else if possible tbh ( despite the jury being out )

I base this on the fact, that I`ve never seen a wild duck / goose / swan etc with Angel Wing and have only ever seen them with Angel Wing in parks or places where they get fed by the public. ( Bowness in Windermere is particularly bad )

Correct. They will of course eat bread and it won't do them any harm per se, but it fills them, and so they neglect to eat their natural foods and therefore miss out on the nutrients that they need. It is a big problem as you say in parks etc.

I was cutting a hedge by the house and this Kereru flew in and landed on a bush about 3m away. Kereru is a NZ native wood pigeon. They are 650gm in weight and come in to land like a Lancaster bomber. I've planted lots of native trees to encourage these back so I was really happy to see this one. Illegal to kill them in NZ btw.

Walking down the canal this morning I saw this poor Badger struggling on his side, myself and another lady Walker tried to get him on his feet but we couldn't manage. He was shivering with the cold and the lady had a silver foil blanket in her bag so she wrapped him in that while I ran to the Nature Centre to see if anyone could help, we managed to get him in a box and the RSPCA were called. One of the volunteers from the centre has called me tonight to say the poor thing was x rayed and it was found he had liver and kidney failure so they put him out of his misery. 😔 😟

Could just've been old age, well we hope so, anyway it's done your Karmatic GD no harm at all.
