Wildlife in your Garden

The neighborhood I live in has seen an increase in Rattlesnakes.

Just last night a neighbor across the way had to call the local firefighters out to deal with one. It's the 4th one this month.

Because of covid the hilly trails have been frequented less meaning the snakes are roaming further.

A lot of them have been juvenile rattlers.

I've got a fledgling right now on the ground in my back yard. Read up on what to do: "nothing, they just need a few days. Just don't let dogs or cats out there"

Umm...that's where my dogs go outside. They've gone after the poor thing about 7 times now but it still hasn't flown.

We`ve had blackbird chicks and Great Tit chicks in ours this year mate and we`ve had the same problem with our Spaniel.

The only way around it is to put the dog on a lead when it goes into the back.

The fledglings normally move somewhere higher and safer as soon as they can, so you shouldn`t have to do this for too long ;)
