Wildlife in your Garden

£340.... what type of bed was he making ? Grow bags are only 99p.......good grief ......

He also up up about 15 metres of close boarded fencing. I had said to Mrs C that I would do it myself but she has blind faith in getting a professional in to do it. I told her that just because someone puts an advert in the local paper that doesn't mean they can do the job. As any man knows; as soon as she said that any job I did wasn't going to be good enough, so I paid up. Now I will be doing all the jobs myself. I will do a better job and it won't cost a small fortune.

Had a blackcap visiting the garden recently. I've spotted it several times over the last week or so. I've seen them around, but never noticed them in the garden before. (not managed a pic yet)

Just noticed that this thread was started 12 months ago today. Hope you've cut the grass again since then @Eggs lol

With them being Summer migrants, they are late nesters, so if you`ve got an overgrown area of your garden, there could be a nest in there - they love overgrown nettle patches for nesting in particular.

They`re lovely looking birds and often never get noticed as they spend so much time in quiet out of the way places.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that they're not nesting in the garden, but I'm guessing they are nesting somewhere close by and that my garden is within their 'territory'
Will definitely get some pics when I can ;)
