He's still training on his own, latest today is, his agent has been told 27m plus 5m add ons will be enough, pricey I know but guess that's the market...il try an find out some more later
Makes sense now is between what we wanted and them 25-30. Is time for us to match it or move on, hopefully you can give us good news thats its done.

My memory isnt the best, but I recall some pushback, people suggesting it was a bit high, saying we shouldnt pay more than 20.

But yes, in hindsight 28m for Lukaku was a steal, 40m for Richarlison a decent price and 45m for Iceland a crime against football.

I guess we find out in 4 years if the 32m for Gnooo was worth it.
£27m-£32m for a pacy exciting 19 year old who’s shown he can hold his own in the league isn’t bad at all.

Whether we should spend that money elsewhere, or whether we should’ve bought him for £4mil a year ago are different conversations though.

How often do the add ons ever get met anyway?
Will probably be stuff like if we finish above a certain position, or he plays x amount of games, in which cases it’s usually been worthwhile.
You can imagine our add on's to the likes of City, they give a million for every trophy we give a tenner when we find an Everton player from a throw in, we still havent ayed out an add on in 3 seasons

That’s pretty much what Udinese were asking for Beto. Unless we can afford to do both Gnonto isn’t the one of the two we should be doing, not at anything like that.
Agreed. If we are spending close to 30 million on one player, I would be looking for a center forward like Beto. We need something for both positions, but striker is a greater need for me.

He had a better season for Leeds than Onana did for us and we are asking ridiculous amounts of money. Gnonto will pay back that £30m no problem, have every confidence he would be a top player for us.
