He won't, but even as a critic of his, it will be no fault of his own. UTD finished 4th this season an look at the transfer activity they have done and are going to do. We have signed 2 players for a total of 4.5 million an our manager has been quoted as saying we are only looking for 2 more. Now when you think we need at least 1 CB a GK Atracking/creative midfielder and despite what Martinez says a Striker. So by my math as long as Martinez isn't lying we are gonna be at least 2 players short of what we currently need, an that is without a thought of a player leaving.

When was the last time a "middle class" team broke the glass ceiling and qualified? So many big spenders that have incredible financial advantages it makes things tough. Look at the freak out over what we spent on Lukaku... and compare that to what others drop routinely.

I remember an article that came out after the 2013-2014 season, in which we had more points than millions spent on wages, and it was noted as pretty much a dream season for a mid-level (talking cash here, not history) club... and still not enough.

Reminds me of baseball. With the 5-6 teams spending nearly twice the league average, the only way to "succeed" is to hopefully catch bottled lightning with young talent and remain pretty much injury free before the FC Moneybags Fantasy Squad United come to pick you clean.

Brian, you certainly do possess a dry wit. Sigurdsson is quite a talent and I think we missed a trick not signing him when Spurs gave him away; Williams would be an upgrade over Alcaraz. Otherwise, you've got nothing that would displace anyone already in our squad.
