Oh it's inevitable to me. If I fear the worst it generally happens.

The BNJ part of the username? Bad News Jones. I'm very rarely full of the joys of spring! :D

Kenwright is determined to make this stadium move his Cistine Chapel, his masterpiece. The reality is he's have virtually nothing to do with the stadium beyond finding a useful idiot to build it and let him remain as Chair.

Never forget he was doing everything in his power to convince fans that Kirkby was our only option. Wrong, it was his only option as he had his pants around his ankles after doing questionable deals with 'dear friends of Everton.'

He was willing to take the senior club out of the city, to stick us in a retail park. We'd have been Bolton by now.

But hey, let them clap. He's a Blue.
Kirkby would have been an absolute disaster for the club .
The kopites were already calling us Kirkby sock robbers and claiming the city was there's.Every time I see a Tesco express I thank God we dodged a bullet.

Yes.

100% Yes.

The fella has put his money where his mouth is with transfers. He is giving us a brand new stadium in a location we dreamed of. He has replaced managers when the knee-jerkers demanded it.

The fella can't do right for doing wrong.

Remind me never to listen to anything Tony Scott has got to say ever again.

Just as if.

If he drops a cool £500m on building us a stadium on the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey, does he deserve a statue / stand?

Not really no. I hope he packs up and leaves, when the new ground is built tbh.

FWIW I think he is.
He an accountant, his 'personal books' will always, in the end, Balance.
He my have fronted up the 1st £100M for the big beach volleyball court, but he'll get it back, maybe in shares, maybe in cash as part of the...if it all goes well...eventual sell on, or at the very worst as a preferred creditor...and sometimes, some debt can be a handy thing for tax purposes.

No accountant worth the name ever has anything in his own name - and definitely not debt of any sort.

Q) So you want to build a stadium, how do you pay for it?
A) There are 3 main methods;
i) I pay for it? - just not happening, I'd be thrown out of the accountants union ffs.
ii) YOU pay for it? - sod that for a game of soldiers, I hear you cry.
iii) Somebody else pays for it (or ends up with the debt, which is the important thing) - We have a winner, come on down Everton Football Club & Co. Ltd.*

*You will find that F. Moshiri and Everton Football Club & Co. Ltd. are...and will be, if it all turns to custard... 2 separate financial 'Entities'.
