Apart from Besic, which ones are good enough? Absolutely the right area of the squad to address in my view. Creative mid needs sorting as well though. Shows how bereft Martinez left this area that we're still potentially looking for a holding mid, a box to box, a number 10 and a LW playmaker.
What I like about this potential signing is that RK seem's to have identified a weakness, many of us have for years known about.

We have none.
I expect us to get a physical player in the middle of the park, much like this guy as well as a big, imposing, physical centre half and possibly an imposing, solid goalkeeper.
We will be very hard to beat with such players but I think they will be good enough to also play a bit of football too. This guy looks to have a brilliant passing range.

He's capable of it mate but it depends on the style of the side.
McCarthy is decent at breaking up play and scrapping in a tackle and keeping possession ticking over, but he isn't capable of kick-starting counters with a decent pass, and is better at a darting third-man run than actually taking the ball forward himself.
Carvalho can probably do all of the above.

I used to think that about McCarthy. But for me, he is a headless chicken and often chasing the opposition as he is often out of position. But that just my opinion.
Ok for Wigan etc. We demand more of our midfielders.
