So yeah you gatta upload it then download it then delete that version and reinstall the update again to reboot the upgrade while downgrading the first update to the trash bin ok

It may delete everything you ever saved on the hard drive but don't click the notifications ok just let the notifications drive you slowly insane or risk reinfecting your computer with viruses from the Ukraine ok*

Any good ? Keep getting prompted for a free download but may swerve if it's a nuisance. From what I've read it is mostly app based so might be more appropriate for a tablet than a desk PC. Worth getting ?
My laptop worked faultlessly for 4 years on Win 7 - amazingly stable. Installed Win 10 and now have to keep re-starting it / freezes / lags.

My work is shortly upgrading all its computers to Windows 10. I've quit*.

* although it's unrelated to the windows upgrade - I've just had enough of teaching and have decided I'll be happier gardening and await my pension in a few years .... but the comment makes for a dramatic statement no?

I'm dead surprised people still use PCs. Awful things.
No configurability, no repairability, no upgradability, no option other than to suffer the smug indignity of the Apple shop when something minor goes wrong, no need to tie your bank account to your Computer account for the rest of your life and rely on their security to keep your money safe...

Similar to me. My laptop was fine on 7, did the upgrade and it ground to a snail's pace. I needed a new one anyway (broken screen hinge), and it came with 10. I think it's really nice, not a huge departure from 7 from a functionality perspective, but the new Start menu set-up is nice, and the general aesthetic is clean and uncluttered. Perfectly happy with it.

Or you can just have everything go wrong all the time.
