Plenty of positives to take from today’s game but I still can’t stand the fact we’re too nice!
We need a couple of players who get straight into the refs ear when decisions don’t go our way. Wolves didn’t get a single card in the game and there was definitely a few challenges that would have warranted a yellow.
Not one Everton player questioned the ref as to why the freekick had been moved to a more favourable position for Neves to shoot from. If the freekick was taken from the original position of the foul I don’t think it goes in.
I think it’s just pee’d me off more because BT commentary just laughed when Wolves took a foul throw and MOTD pundits laughed about the freekick.
The top 6 teams realise every decision counts, it’s time we stop just accepting everything that goes against us.
Yes!!! We are too nice! If one of our new players isn't a "get in your face" type of guy, then we need to find one that will stand up for us on the pitch, maybe our next striker.

Hopefully that's the last we'll ever see from the worst captain in our entire history. Shame on him.

We were unlucky largely dominated bar the sending off and the last twenty. I am pleased how we looked, promising. Looks like we will be entertaining to watch this year.

Richarlison did they showed it on BT. I agree generally though hopefully Mina brings more snide.

Boly is a lot better than he was today, but even in the Championship he could be a bit to laid back and sloppy.

How do you see your new blokes changing your side? On paper they should improve your side in a big way.
I have seen Boly before playing better than that, didn't think much of that Bennett think he could get caught out in the prem.
After last year I wouldn't really like to say , on paper they look the part, but so did some of the ones we got last year.
We need the two central defender s to be good as we are weak there and need somebody to organise those around him.
Bernard could be a the one to really get us moving we haven't had anyone to unlock a packed defence for years, then again at 5 foot 5 can he cut it in the prem getting up against man mountains every other week , so again will have to see him in action, personally I think his speed/touch will carry him the has the few times i have watched him his first touch gets him out of trouble and he will go and try to get the ball back in he loses it.
we need at least a new top class forward and a dominant midfield player to get into the top six.
Think we will improve on last year , but it's going to take us a few years to truly turn it around, but I think finally we are going on the right direction just need a little patience till we do.

Thought we got away with it in the end. Probably our worst and most sloppy performance from what is our best 11 for quite a while. we had way too many players not at their best, maybe nerves got to them. Thought we looked a bit nervous and overcautious. Think the game will do our boys good. They learn from what they do wrong pretty quickly and come back stronger. And i wouldnt worry about all this moving the free kick 5 yards closer in. Neves would have found it easier from a bit further out. He doesnt do goals from inside the box!

As for sending off, we had one similar last year, and i dont particularly like or agree with the rule, but these days its a sending off everytime. You cant follow through, you cant raise your studs even if you win the ball. Like i said, i dont like it, but what can you do when they want to take tackling out of the game.

You lot looked pretty solid, and when you get your new signings in the side if you arent up there challenging strongly for a top 6-7 spot then you are underachieving massively. If you had another quality striker, i could actually see you pushing Spurs and Arsenal.
That first couple sentences is something you might have to get used to until players get used to the top flight or those who don't cut it get replaced. Neves is class but no one stood out otherwise and Boly and your right back looked badly off the pace although I think we'll see more than a few struggle with Richarlison

You are probably right. Some it will take a few games to either sink or swim in the premier league. Nuno is pretty ruthless, if they arent cutting it he wont hesitate to drop them. Neves is ridiculously good. He started off last year quietly but once he got used to things he got better and better and i think he will do the same this year. Probably be his last season with us as i think one of the real top clubs will take him off our hands. You forget sometimes he has just turned 21.

Hopefully for you guys Richarlison keeps up his form. He tailed off badly at Watford.

I'm finding the sending off talk on here interesting. As i mentioned before, we had a player sent off last year against Bristol city for winning the ball but then following through forcefully and catching the opposition player. On our forum, many fans said it isnt a sending off, i was one of them, but the letter of the law these days says it is. Thing that bothers me about that rule is how they dont allow for the momentum of the tackling player. You just cant stop dead in your tracks after a tackle.

Wolves fan here. Very interesting to read comments about today's game on this forum, as I was at the match. I thought Everton were really poor, even when they had 11 men. It was a bit like playing a mid table championship team who got a bit lucky. I thought that our passing and movement were another class compared with you guys. Were you folks really watching the same match?
