Wolves fan here. Very interesting to read comments about today's game on this forum, as I was at the match. I thought Everton were really poor, even when they had 11 men. It was a bit like playing a mid table championship team who got a bit lucky. I thought that our passing and movement were another class compared with you guys. Were you folks really watching the same match?

Your deluded mate, you passed around abit and that was it and the fact your manager has no plan b suggest you lot are gonna struggle this season, theres no more Burton, barnsley, ipswich etc in this league and take neves out your team you guys are dead cert to go down.Btw that was our 2nd team with a new manager, new system and 10 men and we still should have won.

LMAO.

Still don’t see it. And even if it is, you can take the decision to allow the freekick to be taken much closer to the box as the poor refereeing.

I didnt agree with it when it happened to us, cant stand how they are trying to outlaw tackling these days. The free kick is a refereeing error no doubt, but i dont think moving it 5 yards more forward would have made any difference to Neves personally.

Amusing take. I think you're going to be disappointed to find you're in a pretty minute minority here.

Mate are you Jasper Carrot in disguise? 0/10 for the detail but 10/10 for the wind-up.

I hope you have a decent season, I like to see sides come up and establish themselves. You look like you have goals in you which will be important

Wolves xG while we had 11 men: 0.06. From three shots. Wolves xG against ten men, for all that passing: 0.82. 'Another class'? Good WUMing mate!

Anyone can sit their CBs 30 yards behind play and knock it between them a bit. Possession going nowhere -- we had a lot of that under Martinez!

Everton were just comfortable taking home the 1-0, with counter attacking to come in the second half. Even with ten we had three or four chances, two of which we screwed up, one Tosun took on, and one we scored.

If you want to see another class, enjoy playing City or Liverpool with those tactics and that defence.

Best of luck for the rest of the season!

Odd post.

Happy to retort in the spirit of debate. Pickford had nothing to do before your first equaliser, and we were the better side until the last 15 minutes. It's a bit rich to claim your opponent was lucky playing with a man advantage for 50 minutes and scoring from a free-kick which you cheated on.

Espirito Santo also thought you 'controlled' the game - funny form of control that requires two equalizers, a sending-off, and again, cheating on the set-play, to gain a point - at home.

You carry on seeing what you want to see. Your placing 12th-16th at absolute best - if you're lucky.

If that was a red card then we will see a lot of reds this year, awful decision and then he lets him move the ball about 5 or 6 yards and you think it never made a difference:blush: If you move the pen spot 5 or 6 yards do you think that'll make a difference:oops: I went yesterday thought we played well and would have won comfortably if it wasn't for such a poor ref, think your in for a long hard season but hope you stay up.COYB

Haven't read anything all day but dunno about anyone else.
I was impressed by that Everton side - relatively like..

What I like was they attacked when a man down, and took the game to Wolves.
Good to see.

This.

We were far more positive throughout than in any game last season barring West Ham at home. Difficult conditions, 10 men and yet carried a reasonable threat despite all that. Not 'overjoyed' because you can't be when a win becomes a draw. Satisfied with the team effort and intent though. More to come from Walcott and Tosun I hope. Still need a midfield heavyweight.

It's not a red. What giving a red is essentially saying is he has to let the lad run straight through on goal when he can easily reach the ball. He tried to get the ball and did so without going over the top or going through the man first.

As for "don't worry about the kick being moved forward five yards", you're doing a pretty poor job of leaving bias aside there. The chances of that going in from the correct position are low in the extreme. I suspect if that ever happens to Wolves to cost you what would have been a comfortable 3 points, you won't be as forgiving as you're asking Evertonians to be.

The level of spawn Wolves benefited from surrounding the red and following free kick was amazing and defined the rest of the game and yet you've still drawn and haven't even dominated. I think you and many others are going to have to revise expectations down slightly this year if I had to base my opinion on Wolves on that game.

Did your dealer cut you a bad batch yesterday?

Given the hype surrounding Wolves (McNulty predicting them to finish top 7) was expecting a lot more from Wolves.

I just don't know what they are about. Promoted teams who do well in the Premier League have something unique about them, maybe being really defensively well drilled and solid or having genuine pace that can hurt teams. But with Wolves, I just don't see it.

They seem to be relying on this supposed quality but they seem to be a mixture of some good continental footballers and some championship standard payers (defensively they looked bang average verging on poor). Just playing nice possession football in front of, what wasn't exactly the most parked of Everton buses (thought we actually pushed up quite a bit even with ten men).

In the second half I was expecting us to be sitting back and maybe having the odd counter but other than the final 15 minutes we looked in control. We wouldn't get away playing with 10 men for over 45 minutes against most premier league sides.

It's early days and maybe the pressure got to them but based on yesterday's showing, I think they will struggle.

We played you off the park with 10 men you WUM lollollol

Just seen MOTD. That is the worst red card decision in a long time! Just to confirm this, Shearer said it was correct decision so you know it was wrong! Had to get a dig in against an ex Sunderland player too. Thank goodness Wright was there for a voice of reason!

Edit: Well done Everton for not letting this affect them and still going for the points. Refreshing to see.
