Women's Euro 2022

Why do people have to keep comparing Men and women's sports to each other, i never get it, The women's game has been on the up for years and that is great, why belittle it or only take interest when things like this for the Euros or the W/C is on like it is next year, there has actually been women's teams that have beat men's teams as well just for the record-Just support it if you want otherwise why say anything if you dont like it, pretty easy and simple really
While I think two maybe have taken the belittle approach, I also don’t think it’s belittling to be honest about the differences. It’s kind of like when McEnroe said Serena would be ranked in the hundreds on the men’s side because he was asked a question that provoked his response. Serena herself said similar in an interview before but when McEnroe said it, it was belittling. Why?

When people say it’s the same, the truth is that it’s not. If it was they wouldn’t have divisions in the first place. They play the same rules but it’s different games. Both are enjoyable to watch, and that’s perfectly fine.

Also what are the examples of womens teams beating mens teams? I’d actually be shocked if that happened at a professional level so would appreciate the education.

Human sports in general is bog standard. Usain Bolt would get smashed over 100M by a greyhound. Mo Farah wouldn't beat any thoroughbred horse at any distance running level because the horse would be stronger, faster and run harder, if not any real technical skill.

The BBC are just being politically correct by giving it air time.
I would actually watch those events...

Sure, but the 15 year olds dominating professionals in matches are not ahead in terms of coaching or development. The physicality separator when boys hit puberty is the primary difference. They become by in large, faster, quicker, stronger, etc.
Maybe so to an extent, but I do wonder how much professional development the women internationals received in their childhood compared to some males.

A peak audience of 9.3m people watched England v Sweden on TV last night. And that doesn't include online streams, or those watching in public areas, pubs, parks etc.
The game was on main free to view French TV channel TF1 last night.
The France/Germany game is on tonight at 9pm local time.
Is it being shown on UK tv ?

Well whatever you womens libbers on here say, I won't be watching the final when there are dozens of other free view channels to watch.

So, while you are streaming other free stuff, you will be making your wife do all the housework, making you food, waiting on you hand and foot, dealing with the kids, while you sit on your **** with a beer in your hand (that she got from the fridge for you) watching TV?

They have to cover them to avoid the backlash, but they are still poor standard. Look at tennis, women are knackered after two sets and generally hit the net far more than men do.
I enjoyed the womens 100 and 200 metres at the world champs more than the mens, because of the long standing rivalries...and the BBC have covered this for years anyway ( Flo-Jo (for example) emerged as probably the biggest star in the 88 olympics). Nothing to do with trying to be “politically correct”.
