These arnt just two nutjobs who have escaped the asylum and have just killed a randomer. They've done it in the name of a foreign religion which should never have been allowed to have spread in the way that it has, seperate countries within a country.

That's the thing though. Doing this sort of act in this country is only going to fuel the fire of people upset with immigrants, religious extremists, etc and not begin some sort of movement these murderers are wanting.

All it does it rekindle hatred and make people fear a certain ideology. That then becomes a blanket of hatred towards anything associated with it, the media who try to pigeonhole it with blanket statements. This in turn brings anyone and everyone out the woodwork to polarise and spit bile.

The country is already in rage mode with the government with cuts etc. But on top of that is immigration, which the average joe will link to fundelmentalists. Bottom line, the thinking will be "If we closed the door, this wouldnt have happened".

Which is wrong. Take away the political context away from this crime, you've just got another nutcase on the street fueled by TV, drugs, insert cliche here... But it won't.

And on cue...EDL marches, UKIP and BNP will now get a massive push.

So, well done to those two blokes who did this today. You achieved absolutely nothing but a backwards step, for something they more than likely 8 to 10 years ago, didnt give a **** about when they were shacked up in Peckham playing on their PS2's.

It will never go away until either grievances are resolved, (never happens), or political parity is attempted. Cant see either with this lot, as, like you say, it is ideology, primarily, what drives them. If your God tells you it is the right thing to do, however much we might disagree with their view, it just cannot be resolved.

Bringing what some stupid EDL member has said is nothing to do with anything. It stops issues getting talked about.

I don't even know why they are being mentioned. There are 2 issues as far as I'm concerned. Radical islam, and the death of a soldier on our streets. Everything else is highly irrelvent.

If you wanna bring up the edl to try and ignore that there is a problem then that's fine by me, but it is doing much more harm than the edl could ever do. Blissful ignorance and closed mindedness to a situation is just as dangerous as the odd couple thousand skinheads.
