I'd much rather the pundits and presenters just get on with their jobs and stop trying to make empty statements, for a bit of clout. Keane actually didn't say anything of context, he just said that the WC should not have been there, which says nothing.

I don't think Keane does anything for a bit of clout these days, he could not give less of one. You're essentially saying that Qatar's human rights record has had it's 5 little minutes of fame, pat pat pat, now back to the footy and let the deaths and oppression carry on, basically you're doing what you're accusing Keane of doing.
 
Been decent so far but more 0-0 than the entire Russia 18 WC already

have to admit i'm getting more into it than i thought i would

suppose it is a good way to kill time at work if nothing else

The sportswashing nature of this world cup is somewhat negated by the negative press coverage, so I would say they should continue to be vocal about it so that is countered as much as possible.

I would also say that some critical mass of people have determined that it is now safe to criticise the awarding of this event to qatar and as a result that is why we are hearing this now. People are sheep for the most part. As they say in central america...it is the tallest blade of grass that gets cut. Similar to some other things in the world of politics I wont get into now.
 

I watched the Belgium - Canada match and I'm worried about Onana.

He came on in the second half, got a silly yellow and then did a couple of hot headed sliding tackles which could've easily got him another card. Someone here needs to have a word.
