Now you come to mention it, I feel a bit like that too.
Especially when I remember to reflect on the (alleged) bribes that secured it and the many...no alleged weasel words here...deaths that built it.

Hope I don't get sucked in to the spectacle.

I'll watch a few select games and keep up to date with what's happening, but I agree: this is an abomination of a tournament and the very thought of what should be a joyous festival being held in that totalitarian cesspit turns my stomach.

Total disappointment at FIFA for awarding the USA the next World Cup, I'd have thought North Korea would be a good follow up to Russia and Qatar in PR terms for them.

Of course it is mate, i just cant be doing with international football it doesn't give me the buzz that supporting Everton does (Crazy i know because we're dog poo) I don't really care if we get knocked out the group stages or go to the final.
For sure it will be an amazing spectacle fireworks, fan zones, stadiums etc...

Doha is an amazing place visually and architecture wise and there is plenty of brass about if that's what your into.

Completely unreasonable request.
Also, Iran’s national team has been very courageous in publicly supporting the women’s movement within their country.
Grossly unjust if they are not allowed to participate
