Would you pay £24m for Lukaku?

What is the maximum you'd pay for Rom?

Martinez is either
A. really confident of us signing him or
B. very naive in putting all our eggs in one basket while other potential targets (bony, bacca, remy) etc. No doubt move clubs I guess time will tell but if RM messes this one up we have a mountain to climb should we fail to bring in a quality striker

Anyone else see his tweet this morning? Yeah, he deffo looks like he's just dying to sign a contract today FFS.. :dodgy:
Does say 1st half of holiday done.
Maybe he is having 1st break coming to sign and do his medical then going on another break when its sorted.
Or maybe im just rediculously optimistic and i should go and join red n white kop

We will spend this window, its the next few we have to worry about.

Like the last massive new tv deal, we got Felli on the drip. 3 million per year for 5 seasons, we spent a bit that window but went into hiding for quite a few windows afterwards
I'm starting to worry that there's little to spend again. Even the staggered deal for Fellaini came on the back of selling Johnson and McFadden for about £15m.

I suppose the 2007 summer window was a good one, when Howard, Baines, Jagielka and Yakubu all came in without anyone useful being sold. Feels like a long time ago, though.

It's interesting how to take roms comments on "a team winning titles" does he mean a team at the top or does that include us? Remember his comments on him saying to jags we could challenge for the league which jags laughed it off? Who knows but if I was martinez I would be saying to lukaku right now either give me good assurance or im looking elsewhere as bony available for £19 mil and remy £11 mil will be snapped up soon

The difference this summer SHOULD be that our turnover for this season is supposed to be up about £30m over last season - and I think that's before one segment of the tv money, and before player sales (fellaini, Victor, Jela) too.

We should have a good amount of money to spend this summer.

I was only born in 88 but I can only imagine the anger of 80s generation when they heard an ambitious loanee was laughed at by an Everton captain at the suggestion Everton could win the league.
