I like the way we all getting over excited because daily mail and some fella on twitter says it's happening, no quotes no nothing just blind faith. For us to have any chance of getting him chelsea will need to have gotting a quality replacement for him and pls stop sputting this rubbish about, how they have got bamford and how drogba is coming back cause we all know that's not gonna happen.

I will guarantee one thing right now lukaku won't be an everton player in the next 48hours. Let's just wait and see what happens and stop fooling ourselves, because we will all just be disappointed come Sunday night. We are not his first second or third choice and he will wait as long as possible before he commits to us.

Yes it's the daily mail but Dominic King is one of the few there who doesn't spout rubbish.

It's also been picked up by the telegraph btw, who aren't exactly known for printing articles without some basis in fact.

The "bloke on twitter" is also one of the foremost Belgian sports journalists, based in London with the specific job of covering the Premier League's Belgian contingent. And he seems to be directly contradicting your based-on-nothing opinion that we're not his first second or third choice.

Does it matter if he's coming to us who else was in for him?

Would it make him less of a player if only Wolfsburg and us wanted him? Or does he become a better player if he's turned down other clubs and wants to sign just for us?

Matty you bang on about the club having no ambition etc etc yet here we are possibly on the cusp of signing one of the best young forwards in world football and you're still being negative, why can't you just sit back and hope he's signs like everyone else?

Oh and don't go into some anti Kenwright diatribe because it's quite clear we've got money to make this happen now, just try and enjoy Everton doing something that you're always trying to castigate them for not doing.
 
He wasn't my first choice,but at the end of the day taking away his faults,he's a young lad,and he knows where the net is,and we've waited too long for a "proper" goalscorer,I'm in!!COYB!!!

It's called being evertonians mate. Of course I'm exited of the prospect but I'm also cautious this is Everton and we have been let down before by the club. But ... If we sign him I will hold
My hands up and say kenwright has done something good.
