Would you prefer England to win the World Cup or Everton to win the Premiership?

No - Hutchison (y) What do you mean "of all people" ? He was a good player for us at a time when we didn't have many & it was unfortunate he ended up leaving when he did.

Anyway, it'll be the same next summer - any matches I see will be far more interesting to me if an Everton player's involved, even if they're playing England.

From what I remember he left because he demanded ridiculous wages even though he wasn't very ******* special.

Some lovely stuff on here.

Re: Scotland. Far, far more to be proud of than England. If I'm jealous Ghost of following N international team it would be them.

England are followed by too many bells.

Everton for me. Whilst I don't want England to lose they've never really interested me, I'm not a big fan of international football as a whole unless one of Everton's players are playing.

As for someone say England are more likely to win something? They really aren't, that's just utter bollocks to be honest. There history speaks for itself.

So are you saying that the chances of England winning something and Everton winning the league are exactly the same?

If you just hang on a sec, the bandwagon will be with you soon, it's just in Norwich at the moment.

Been on Kipper recently? Wall to wall bells isn't it?

Are you English, that's all I need to know. You sound English.

I may well be castigated for this, but I seriously think I would rather have LIVERPOOL winning the league than England winning the World Cup.

not stirring trouble here, just a simple, honest answer, and I'll stand by it.

If I was English maybe I could get worked up over things, but I just cant' seem to stand the national side, something to do with all the saturation coverage it brings, can't move for red and white banality coming from every page, every flyer, every radio or tv broadcast, and it just pisses me off, If they do win next year I think that just may put me into a coma, that would be a nightmare scenario, todays draw did me no favors, but I've said my piece on that.

Look, to get back to the question, Everton or England to be Champions, from my standpoint, you do the math.

It's a pity this as there are some good people on here and I'm not looking to make enemies, I am an Evertonian of many a year, and that's why we're all here, but at the end of the day, a red mist seems to descend when the national team comes to the fore.

Everton to win the League over an England world cup win, 101 per cent absolutement.

Oh dear. Ban this one right now.

Why don't you stick to what you know.

To not flood the forum with my retorts. I can see myself putting 95% of this forum on ignore during the world cup.

Come on England!!!

and it's all going in, all the bad traitors who would change their tune if they won.

I'd say it's very unlikely either way, for both England and Everton.

As I said, England's history in competitions speaks for itself.

I would say that England have their best chance in years............thanks to an Italian but as you say TB, history speaks for itself

Well England CAN win the World Cup, its very unlikely, but they have a 1 in 5-6 chance, they are surely 1 of the teams that COULD win it. But they wont, massive egos and massive belters all over the show.

They've definitely improved and they will only get better under Capello, he's got the right ideas and his record speaks for itself. But, I just see better teams around than England at the moment.

And Goat, I wouldn't put in down to big egos either. It's just same old same old really, once England come up against a team who can play football they fall apart.

Maybe so. I don't actually buy into the flag wearing, but being in a pub watching a world cup game, knowing that every single person in that pub is wanting the same thing as you, and when a goal goes in it's a wonderful feeling.

Sorry to everyone who thinks I'm a bad tit for supporting the country I was born in, but I make no apoligies for it.

Actually you're a bad tit for making accusations that anyone who doesn't share your viewpoint of England and its football team are just hopping on a bandwagon.

Bells? Nah. They don't go smashing places up to show their pride mate, thats bells.

I don't even include England's World Cup win, it's discredited as it was gained on home soil with a very dodgy decision on a key goal in the final.
