Would you sign Welbeck? (rumoured to be wanting out of OT)

He's crap end of, will never be a20 goal man and would have 0 chance of going to the World Cup if we had any other English strikers in the league or he didn't play for Man U

28 goals in 124 games for a striker......he's CRAP

The England strike force is at an all time low right now. It's embarrassing that welbeck is even considered for England IMO.

I used to be glued to the transfer window threads under dithering Dave, but I'm not bothered now. I know Bob's reputation, and our lofty status, will ensure the right players come in.

Great post that actually, never thought of it that way but I think you're right - the way we've been playing football this season means good players will be happy to sign for us, and top foreign sides with excessive squads will be happy to loan to us.

Because he is English, he would cost the same as Lukaku, now IF they were both available, i know who i would have.
Sturridge?? he has been good this season, but one of the best in World Football? He will need a few more seasons to convince me.

Don't think he's as bad as everybody makes out, still young too. I wouldn't be against signing him, if the price was right of course

He's beyond gash. Moves live a baby giraffe and can't finish.
Four letter player beginning in 'B' and ending in 'Y' instead please

I wouldn't mind him if he was one of 2 strikers we got and the other was top quality. But if he was our main striker next season I'd be gutted.

Think we should go after him.

People may laugh but look at Sturridge. At Chelsea he gained the reputation for being selfish, petulant and not a team player. Now under a manager who believes in him hes been one of the best strikers in world football this season and its Chelsea with egg on their face.

Always liked him even though his finishing leaves a lot to be desired. Reminds me of Adebayor - I hope we can take advantage of his uncertain future and make a bid Him/Cleverley would be nice.

Same thoughts, in right club he will bloom no doubt
