Moise Kean was never rated that highly tbh, this guy has been on the radar of clubs like Lyon, Dortmund, RS and others. Kean was only ever talked about in Italy really.
Yeah he was. It was a huge coup for us at the time.

I think people just assumed he would stay in Italy.

‘Near miss’ deadline would likely only be taken into account for first time cases/charges. We are well past that point now, and probably wise not to push it.
The 'near miss' referred to here relates to accountancy practices (in other words, final paperwork for a deal agreed in the previous days being attributed to a previous financial year) and not to arbitrary PL transfer deadlines.

I don't follow your logic.

A near-miss would be about a lack of experience of the PSR framework - it would be because a significant boost to the accounts would be possible with a few days' grace that ought to be universally given.
If we as repeat offenders are going back in front of a tribunal to plead our case again, and this time using the ‘near miss’ excuse, I can’t see it being looked on favourably. We would be asked why we are leaving it to the last minute, especially after our recent breaches and charges.

What you want me to make lists? well Trossard and Mitoma from Brighton seeing you highlighted them previously.
Brighton have done brilliant. But no matter how well you do, all transfers comes with a significant risk.

Remember Alireza Jahanbakhsh? Eredivisie top scorer Brighton signed for a club record fee from AZ? He scored twice in three seasons and made Maupay look like Messi.

Trossard was almost 25 and team captain for Genk when he signed for Brighton.

They paid us 40mil for Gordon, an established premier league player having made 65 appearances / 78 in all comps.

They expect the same money for a guy who is yet to feature in a single premier league game. Greedy deluded b******s.

How can we afford anything like what they want?

I still hope we can get him - without having our pants pulled down.

Its hardly leaving til the last minute the windows only been open 2 weeks!

Apologies, I was tying it in with DCL deal, and both deals completing together after 30th deadline. But within a ‘near miss’ period. Hopefully we are clear already with dobbin & Godfrey deals.

Why is anyone upset about selling 7 goal DCL? 20 plus games with out a goal.

Can’t go past a man, no confidence to finish one on one.

We should get every penny we can. If the horse punchers are stupid enough, which let’s face it they generally are, snap their hand off.

I'll be gutted to see him go.

In a semi capable team - with players who can pass forward or heaven forbid, cross a ball...

13 league goals in 37 games (15 in 41 in all)
16 league goals in 33 games (21 in 39 in all)

He then had two horrific seasons with injuries, perhaps made worse by our desperation which Dyche has said was the case - two horrific seasons coinciding with us being a kick away from relegation.

Last season he kept his fitness, but had a poor season and still chipped in with 7 goals and a few massive performances like the derby.

The thing is, Dyche last season went massively % football, pragmatism - people talk about our clean sheets etc, a huge part of that was a very negative, defensive football. It was needed, our of necessity - but it's absolute kryptonite for strikers.

To conclude then - I'll be gutted to see him go because in a team with pace or any creativity whatsoever, he scores double figures and I honestly think he's a difference that can keep us midtable vs relegation scrap.

Looking at the countless garbage we've signed upfront - I also don't think we can safely replace him.

I think it will be.

If the grace period is known about, it's going to be used - and reasonably so.
