The point was you can still command a fee for a crocked player.

Premier League clubs also wanted Bolasie for £15m, but he waited for the window to close/knowing Everton would loan him and pay the difference in wages while he goes an plays for Pulis.

We've become a soft touch with offloading players. We used to be pretty good at it.
I think you'll find the difference is that we're trying to offload players we don't want. The world and his wife know that and they are holding out for a deal that suits them.

TBH the fire sale is working our exactly as I thought it would.

I can't understand the logic for the earlier deadline for PL clubs and yet Championship clubs can loan in players until August 31.

There was no incentive for Championship clubs to deal on permanent transfers to August 9th knowing that they can get same player on loan afterwards.

It`s working out much much better than I could ever have imagined in my wildest dreams.

Did anyone think that we`d ever be able to get the likes of Klassen permanently off the books ????.

We were always going to get bitten on the arse by other clubs, with the long, highly paid contract that Koeman and Walsh gave to a load of turds like Bolasie.

They are now reaping the benefits of the mess that Koeman and Walsh left behind.

It was always going to be the way.

Its the nature of a firesale, you take hits on players, but the ultimate goal is to rid the squad of players you dont want.

RS don’t want Ings and is injured prone but get £20m.

Speaking of Boro, I read an article wherein Pulis was praising their CB Aden Flint. It got me thinking: wouldn't it be great to see a team with that Brazilian bloke who plays for Man U, City's John Stones and Boro's highly praised CB in it. Imagine a passing move between the three of them: the commentary would go "Fred...Flint...Stones..."

There's a guy who plays for Kings Lynn called Micheal Gash, now if he were to be transferred to Barcelona we could end up with a Messi Gash!

Didnt they once play a midfield of Emerson Lake and Palmer?

Bolasie has been the source of inspiration for me, seeing him keeps me motivating saying "if he could play for Everton with that lack of balance and ball control, you could do anything as well".
