Happens in Italy constantly. It's a way of shifting payments and player investment on to next year.

I doubt if Bolasie and Lookman will be allowed to leave, so , if Bolasie leaves then I would guess Lookman stays until January... at least.

I would say the loan to Boro will include aclause they will have to buy him , if promoted, with Pulis that could easily happen.
Besic may be similar. I think he definitely wants to go back there.

It's not a bad thing at all.

It's allowed us to get shut of: Kevin Mirallas, Ashley Williams and CUCO MARTINA.

That, mi amigo, is a great thing.

But to me you don't make it public. It's comparable to last season where we told everyone we're splashing the cash beforehand and we got taken to the cleaners on almost every fee we paid. I think Brands could've shifted them all even without making it public knowledge.

But as I said it's a small small criticism and only relevant after I realized how good he was at the job (as evidenced by the stand off with Barca).

Bolaise is costing us 9m a season, so forget his transfer fee, that moneys gone.

If you factor in his wages and his transfer fee over his 5 year contract he costs us 9m a season.

So if we can get Boro to give us like a 2m loan fee and pay some of his wages, we can get some money back, from an accounting POV its a good deal, if Rico gets inj

If it was me, he'd be staying on the bench/occasional late sub until January when a club would pay actual money for him.

Middlesbrough have played a blinder here. Why pay £15m for him when they can tell him to sit on his hands and pick him up on loan.

Personally I'm quite happy to see him out of the club. He's taking up a squad position that would be better served developing on of our promising young players like Dowell.

The only "if" is £2m based on appearences.

better negotiating.

But its a pretty moot point overall mate, Ings is 3 years younger and Saints are a Premier League Club, so its hardly a like for like deal at all.

tbf, i think we'd have cleared most of it by next summer.

So far we have only sold Rooney & Klaassen I think, and Williams contract expires next year too. Still got Sandro, Martina, Stek, Bolasie, Keane and possibly Vlasic to go. Schneiderlin has a reprieve at the moment. Geuye and Siggy are excused.

If we manager to get rid of all those by next summer I'd be surprised but delighted.
