But its a pretty moot point overall mate, Ings is 3 years younger and Saints are a Premier League Club, so its hardly a like for like deal at all.

The point was you can still command a fee for a crocked player.

Premier League clubs also wanted Bolasie for £15m, but he waited for the window to close/knowing Everton would loan him and pay the difference in wages while he goes an plays for Pulis.

We've become a soft touch with offloading players. We used to be pretty good at it.

Well I guess we see what the terms of the deal are before we say we messed up.

But if nothing else it highlights that player power STILL rules supreme at football clubs.

Just feels shortsighted from Everton to me. January is a perfect time to capitalise on selling players, especially those with premier league experience but we wont be able to because we've loaned them all out to save a % on wage.

Besic shows you how Middlesbrough have played it.

If we keep Lookman I'd put Bolasie out on loan until January, then he can earn a move for the window at a reasonable price.

Like you mentioned, surely a Cardiff, Huddersfield or similar would be happy to chuck money at a proven player if they're struggling halfway through the season.

Well from the business side POV we have a player who we are paying a wage who the manager doesnt rate, so from a business POV it makes sense to loan him out and get some money back into the club.

Its the first window of the new system, Pulis has played a blinder and I suppose we have been totally played, but its not the first time, Chelsea did it with Barkley.

Maybe we will stick an obligation to buy in the deal, I see no reason at all why Boro would agree, but we can hope.

The most encouraging thing about all this is Marco has seen him for the fraud he is which fat Sam never.

Think the injury has probably finished him as a top flight prem performer.

He wasn’t exactly a world beater prior to the injury, but he had a bit of pace and caused some problems.

i don’t get some of the vitriol towards him on here, but I’ve now realised that’s pretty standard behaviour for some members.

Let’s hope he does well and gets himself a move somewhere permanent.

Think this is a bit harsh to be honest. I actually appreciate the members on here that can see Bolasie for the fraud he has always been

I don't hate Bolasie. I think he's a terrible footballer, but I don't hate him.

No, I hate the people who decided blowing that money on him was a good idea.

For me, getting him out of the club helps to heal the wounds over the last few season that made me think that Everton were incompetent no-hopers ran by a fraud of an owner. I want to believe Everton mean business. Getting rid of chancers like Bolasie (who fair enough, took what they were offered, why wouldn't they) is an indication of meaning business.

We had a few mate, but Bolasie opted to stay put... wonder why?! *cough Tony Pulis *cough.

We'd have more in January when desperation hits (relegation worries/championship promotion chasers) - Bolasie after a few months on the bench would be easier to shift.
I know if I were a forward player I wouldn't want to play for one of his teams that's for sure.

Remember after Galloway played his first game for Albion. Their fan forum was saying he did ok but wouldn't last long under Pulis because he goes past the half way line too often. How right they were.
