I like him. Gets crosses in, helps out in defence, relieves pressure, scares opposition players that they back and back off not wanting to be beaten by pace. He is a winger so he will be in and out of games. He was huffing and puffing yesterday but that will apply to lots of players this early in the season with each at different levels of fitness. Koemans game needs 100% fitness and I believe we have yet to get that level with Lukaku, Barkley, Mirallas, Bolasie and even Gueye. It will be there soon.
They're all at the beginning of the season. In fact they have a month almost of PL game time in their legs too.

They're as fit now as they'll be the whole season, I'd say. Just at that point when preseason is in their legs and the extra cup games dont start tiring them with a couple of games per week.

Fitness is there right now; something Koeman said was 'almost there' this week.

I cant see us squeezing anything more from this lot and better quality is required.

Sure, but one injury and we have no other options than to play our only healthy wingers when Bolasie is in Africa. We could potentially do with another versatile attacking player.

We have Dowell, Lennon, Cleverley, Kone all seeing very little game time currently. If the first choice front three is Mirallas Lukaku and Bolasie then come the AFCON we have a whole host of options to replace him including Valencia and Deulofeu as well.

Bolasie/Del and Mirallas/Lennon are great options for our wide players as each one can bring something different.

Will Everton pay his wages while he is off to African Cup?
You know what, I don't mean any disrespect with this comment, but if I was a club paying 25m to purchase a player who could potentially miss a 6th of the season in an international competition, I'd tell him he ain't joining us unless he agrees to forego his international commitments for the length of his contract with us.

In which case he'd find a better offer.
