Stylistically? I am not watching Strictly Come Dancing.

Defending well. Solid midfield, decent talent throughout the side, 2 wingers, pacey, ace slotter up top. A few diamonds who on their day can produce magic.

Whats not to like?

Stylistically I see us winning football matches mate.

The biggest compliment I can pay to the style is that I'm now enjoying watching Everton again.

They're playing winning football. We're walking out of Goodison and people are actually happy and talking confidently about our play and results.

You can talk about the style all you want, but right now we're second in the league and seem to be playing better than we have for a long time.

That's the most important thing! Once you've got winning down to a tee then it's time to critique the finer details our our style of play.

But if you want to talk about style of play, then I'd say we are defending resolutely, creating chances and now actually like to score regularly.

It may not be perfect but it's much, much better than what we experienced under your beloved Martinez within his last two seasons.

FWIW I think the pressing and effort is a welcome change from last season. It's novel at the moment though and Id like to think there's more to come and Koeman can add a bit more flair into our play by committing more numbers forward, as I think we store pretty conservative in that respect.

It's hard working but a bit dull, and relies way too much on the out ball to Bolasie.

Not so much Total Football but Total Commitment. Early days of course.

I don't think we should be trying to fix what isn't broken. If we're getting results playing how we're playing now, our boss manager won't be in a hurry to change it.

We scored 6 goals in 90 minutes of football. I don't think we need to to be honest, unless you want to see us leave unnecessary gaps for our opponents to exploit

we've scored some cracking one touch goals already imo Dave, Mirallas' goal away to West Brom, Lukakus hatrick goal against Sunderland was brilliant one touch football. Colemans goal yesterday was a lovely one touch move. We've mixed it up as well by scoring goals from crosses from the wings such as the couple against Sunderland, Barry's header, Lukakus tap in yesterday.

Still not firing on all cylinders but massive progress and most importantly we look solid as a rock, organised, disciplined and fit.

I've taken a bit longer to judge Bolasie, due to the higher price, but I'm really starting to believe he's worth every penny.

I knew he was fast & tricky, but he's also strong. He can mix it & manages to keep the ball when challenged. Unlike Mirallas & Deulofeu who just gets brushed off it.

All wingers are frustrating at times, it's in their DNA. Bolasie looks like he's guaranteed to get 3 or 4 quality balls into the box per game, but also not lose the ball too much.

He'll do for me.

It's a novelty for the opposition to deal with. Once that's over we have to have more strings to our bow than just running round and packing our own half out with four defenders and two CMs.

If we play better teams we'll need to (if we want more than a point) commit more to attack.

We had 11 years of bananas brought to knife fights and we don't want to return to that. I don't think Koeman is the coward Moyes is like, so I'm sure he'll want us to evolve to something more complex over time.
