Yannick Bolasie

We've got a 25 goal striker to be doing that Tim - Bolasie's main job is setting those chances up (as he has done), not just for Rom but for others.

There's plenty of other players that 'need' to be offering more of a goal threat than Bolasie does.

Oh yeah there's more than him. But I do think he needs to be a 5-10 a season player.

I agree there mate, really all our forward players should be. But in games like today I don't think it matters as much as long as he's involved. And he was. In all of our attacking moves, he was involved.

So much wrong with that it's unreal. So all you need is a 25 goal striker and you're sound?

That might be his 'main' job, but it's not his only one. I've said before, £30m needs to buy you a match winner, in order to become a good signing he absolutely must add goals to his game.

Hang on mate - Sane, the £40mil wonder-kid, was up against Oviedo - who has been roundly lamented on here as not being good enough. City had plenty of the ball and were always pressing.

Bolasie hardly had any of the ball but still managed to be effective most of the time when he did.

Not his best display but I'm baffled why people can't see what he offers, despite his inconsistencies.

He creates chances, and has the strength and pace to compliment our attack. He can be frustrating but if he was the complete package he wouldn't be at Everton.
Bolasie wasn't buttons you know. Bolasie didn't have his best game. City didn't have their number one defence out did they?

When he's good he gets 2-3 good crosses in and then fades, when he's bad there's no point in him being on the pitch. Not bothered about the huge fee we paid, as that doesn't matter these days, but he looks like a terrible signing so far.

Those crosses are pure luck also as he does so with his head down.

Difficult for a winger or front-man to do well when his midfield is incapable of making it past the half-way line.

Great pass for the goal and he put in a couple of top centres plus running around trying to disrupt their control.

Definitely been a good signing in my book.

Bolaise is a mixed bag, we know that. For much of the game, he doesnt seem to add much and gives the ball away. But he has moments where he delivers a great cross, or in this case, a great flick, and gives a scoring opportunity. Until we have wingers who can score 10 a season, we wont be competing for Champions League, and Bolaise I dont think is capable of that. But I think he does bring enough to deliver a 5th-6th place finish with a good striker in front of him, which we have.

I suppose thats often the case with wingers, 3 parts frustrating, 1 part brilliant.

How easy is it to make a pinpoint cross without looking where you will aim?
Like anything, the more you practice the easier it gets..
If he's putting crosses into the same area every game then at some point the forwards and attacking mids will click that theirs a gamble worth taking

It doesnt seem like he is...all go into random areas.

Deulofeu has shown last season at the start how good he is and how much he can improve the attack.
