Yannick Bolasie

...as lots have said since we bought him, he has the ability to win a game or look pretty clumsey. He does put a shift in, though.

He created loads of chances for our players. He had annoying habit of doing something skilful with the ball and losing it but sometimes they pull off and I would rather him play and enjoy himself tbf as these moment can change a game for us. I'm not arsed about his price

That might be his 'main' job, but it's not his only one. I've said before, £30m needs to buy you a match winner, in order to become a good signing he absolutely must add goals to his game.

He didn't cost £30mil so please stop pedalling that he did - it was £22mil up front potentially rising to £28m with ludicrous add ons.

Anyway, I agree it's not his only job. But I think the key with Bolasie is what I've seen a few fans saying.

He helps us turn defence into attack in the click of a finger. And we needed that.

Bolasie wasn't buttons you know. Bolasie didn't have his best game. City didn't have their number one defence out did they?

I know he wasn't buttons.

But we were set out to try and hit them on the counter.

It quickly changed to all-out defence because guess what, this is a Pep team we were playing against and they're bloody good.

He got an assist. His performance was good. What more do you want?

Deulofeu has shown last season at the start how good he is and how much he can improve the attack.

And he has shown this season that he is the most inconsistent of any of our wingers.

Think Del and Bolasie both did fine yesterday, in very difficult circumstances, and I think they'll both start vs Burnley.

His performance wasn't good unless you Base it on one flick. He consistently lost the ball, his short passing was sunday league- which is crap if you are trying to counter. His job is to stretch the pitch, he didn't do it. Rom made that goal from near the half way Mark. I don't think we'll find a happy medium on this one mate  so let's just drink to it.

For a £25m player I really don't think he contributes enough.

He always seems to have to try something different instead of just giving the simple pass.

His performance was good in my book - not because of that assist - but because he was involved in every attacking move (As rare as they were) that we put together.

But yep, agree to disagree! :)

I think we bought the best that was available to us at that time. He will devide opinion, he is a winger.
He is no world beater, he won't win us the league but he has improved us.

has he improved us? If he has I suppose that's an indictment to how bad we were last season. But is he really an upgrade on Lennon? Just 'improving' us shouldn't be the barometer, especially given the ludicrous price tag. We could have bought someone for half the cost to do that. He's just not very good. We'll get 1 brilliant game from him out of 6, (and he can look brilliantly) and the rest will be a bit meh. Loads/most of players in the Prem have that brilliant game in 5 or 6 though, and they're not worth 20 odd million. No consistency or goal threat, but then. he never has in his entire career so why should we expect that to change?
