I deliberately didn't mention what he cost us, we paid too much, but that is not his fault.

No, it's not his fault. But I'm not being critical of him personally, I'm being critical of the club, given his stats over his career that we went out and payed so much over the odds, and think he'll improve. If you pay that much, reagardless of the market, you'd expect better. I could understand it if we were paying for potential. But he's 27, so pretty much what you see is what you get. Like it or not though, players are judged by their price tags. It's the price tag that gives the fans a little bit more patience though as they will expect him to start performing like a 22m/28m player. Likewise, if we payed, say, 8m I'd imagine a few fans would be critical.

Are you comparing Yannick Bolasie to Mesut Ozil?!

I can tell you now Bolasie wasn't worth what we paid for him. Quite easily.

But he was the player they wanted so had to pay that to get him.

Why is everything a comparison just because someone's name is mentioned. No I'm not comparing them if that answers your question.

Bolasie could well get 10-20 assists this season and few goals, we won't know till the season ends. I'm saying he could well have had 7 by now if other players had taken easy chances I'm talking the likes of Barkley and lukaku who have had balls put on a plate for them. If he does manage to get those statistics by the seasons end surely that justifies the money spent on him?
