Yannick Bolasie

Irritating yesterday, what got to me most was his decision to shoot from range in stoppage time. Must have bene quite a sight for those in the Paddock.

It's just all opinions mate. To my eyes he does numerous very bad things for every good thing he does. He's not very good imo. Yesterday I thought he was abysmal with his crossing. Like I mean rank bad. Although I accept he has been slightly better than Mirallas and Deleuofeu this year. Not that that it is particularly impressive

Oh his crossing in the second half was abysmal Tim, I agree.

But the fact remains is he makes things happen.

We had three brilliant chances in the first half.

The first two, he set up. The third, he missed after making a really good run and doing everything right until the finish.

Second half he was awful. But, again, his cross made the goal happen. It was a ball into a dangerous area that Amat - who was back-pedalling - had to deal with as Valencia was there. Then the rest is down to Seamus.

A minute later, Bolasie has a shot (and btw, there was somebody on here yesterday - not you - saying he had 10 yards of space... he didn't he had two Swansea players barring down on him within 3 yards) that beat Fabianksi and was cleared off the line by Amat.

Playing badly or playing well, he makes stuff happen for us. It baffles me why people refuse to except it as they have this pre-conceived idea that he isn't good enough. He clearly is.

You mean that shot that was a certain goal when he had no other options on mate, if not for a great block on the line?

Irritating as hell with his crap crossing in the second half. But makes things happen for us

Eh?

He lumped the Ball into the box toward no one in particular.

You or me could have done that

It was a bad, unchallenged headed clearance from a simple cross by the defender which set the chance up, Toff.

That's why their manager was livid about it.

It was a great piece of improvisation from Seamus which rescued the point, though.

And that in itself was very ironic as Seamus missed an absolute sitter from right under the bar when presented with a chance to save a point in the corresponding fixture last season.

But nobody else did it did they Khal, is my point. It was Bolasie.

Right place, right time, maybe. But he was there and he played that ball in.

I'm not giving him the credit for the goal, but he did his job of getting the ball into a dangerous area. Just as he did his job setting up our two chances before they scored with two very good crosses.

Agree on Seamus.

Sorry mate, agree with a lot of what you say on here, but I just don't rate him. He's a decent impact sub off the bench. He's not good enough to be playing such a pivotal role in our side. He frustrates the life out of me. He just doesn't carry a goal threat and we can't afford to build around someone like that.

I don't think the plan was ever to 'build around' him mate, that's the thing.

The plan was to build around Ross, but ultimately he's been poor (at doing that) for two months apart from the past few games - personally I think it's time to ditch him as a 10 and try him further back in a 4-3-3 - but I'm not the manager.

I think the plan was to have Bolasie to compliment Barkley, Del, Kev etc, and add a bit of something different to what we had. Ultimately the other three haven't cut it and we're now relying on Bolasie to be our most creative outlet (which he has been).

This isn't just a statement. He's created more clear-cut chances than anyone in the Prem last I checked - and you can throw in another two to that after yesterday.

I'm not saying we shouldn't be aiming for better further down the line, but when he gets in forward positions, stuff happens for us, even though he is wasteful. That's more than can be said for most of our players at the moment.

It seems clear that koeman has told our players to "get it to bolasie" in the hope that he will do something which leads to a goal.

He gets so much of the balls his way it beggars belief.

If you compare his games this season to Deulofeu in the same initial games last season then deulofeu puts him to shame.

To be fair bolassie shouldnt be on tbe pitch hes been so poor.

And Geri was blowing out of his arse on 85minutes after being on the pitch a whole 20minutes.

He makes things happen Zat, playing well or not.

Del atm doesn't - as proved by Saturday.

Btw, sorry about the post yesterday which just said 'you're wrong' - was a bit of a harsh post.
