Never mind 25m, I'd argue a 10m bid should see bigger queues to drive him to his new home by fans than were at Goodison when the Villarreal tickets went on sale.
I'm hopeful we can shift him this time. Maybe (hopefully) Martinez is telling him he needs regular first team football to get in the national team.

He'll probably end up at some Turkish club or French club.

I have always maintained that i rate Mirallas really highly. Just appears to me now that the last 2 years have had a big impact on him and his dropped every time he got into the team, and now needs a new challenge elsewhere.

When we sent over a fax with the price on it and they (presumably) replied straight away with a "yes please", that should have raised a few eyebrows within our board surely?

That's a completely made up scenario, but it does seem like our bid was accepted straight away, it's always a bit worrying when that happens.

We had an £18mil offer turned down mate

He's lost that electric pace he had in his first 2 seasons, mainly due to hamstring injuries, which is unfortunate.

In his third season (14-15) he was very good up until January, where he did seem to strop about not getting the move. And although he wanted to take the penalty for the Belgian lad who died, what he did didn't endear him to the fans.

I still like him and he's shown flashes of form ever since, but he really needs to be played centrally now if at all IMO.

He got a lot of grief the other day but actually if you rewatch (if you can stand to) he linked the play really well in that No.10 role and it allowed Ross more freedom as well. The chance at the end, where Bolasie's shot was cleared, came from a great throughball by Kev.

If an offer comes in for him in Jan though, I do feel we should be looking to cash in and get a proper playmaker in.

Aye, one of my prefered players to be honest at the club, but it has gone stale and sometimes you just have to admit the lad has to move on. I hope he does go, he deserves one more first team run elsewhere because he has been a good servant to us over 5 years.

Mirallas in China. Yes. Yes, it definitely suits.

Without taking this too far off topic, is there any evidence he's a money-grabber?

Anyhow, Bolasie is currently our bets winger.

Perhaps that's more a sad indictment of our attacking options, but he can be a very good player for us and has shown that.

He should not be our main creative outlet, though.

I wouldn't say 'servant' like - but yes up until last season he has been decent, without probably hitting the heights he should have done.

Injuries have played a part, but equally so he never fulfilled his own potential.

I'm not suggesting he's any more of a money grabber than the rest. I'm saying China is his level.

Haha, fair enough then Dave.

Personally, feel he could still cut it in a European League - Spain or Italy or even France would be ideal.

He can still do it at Prem level tbh given some of the tosh in the league, but he's just gone stale here atm.

While being totally different players, Bolasie is basically Kone. In that he gets forward near to Rom and without being good Rom seems to perform better.

Totally different dynamic in quality to the fabulous crosses from Deulofeu into Rom last season

Bolasie/Kone make me think we need to sign a top forward to play up top with Rom in a 2 striker system.

Or a top playmaker to break teams down that are able to just pack a defence and not be troubled...
