It's is just an unwritten football rule. You don't wish injury on a player or celebrate it. Even for a rival.

I must disclose however that I am a superfan and have Everton underpants on so I am morally superior.

Godspeed Superfan, and may you righteously reign over us mere run-of-the-mill supporters

I'm not arsed about idiots celebrating it.

I don't think there are that many.

What does baffle me is people who think that he won't be a miss.

Regardless of what you think of him (and a lot of the 'hate' - for lack of a better term - is based on pre-conceived ideas because of his price tag), he's been our best and most consistent attacker this season.

Please tell me, these people who are saying he won't be missed, who do they think is ready or has shown the form/ability in the past 12 months to step up and create for us?

Del? - Sorry, but he played like a kid the other night. And I don't mean like Tom Davies either. I know he has all the talent and potential but I'm not convinced he's got the aptitude. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

Kev? - Thought he looked sharper as the game wore on the other day, but when has he ever been consistent either?

Barks? - Who knows what's up with the lad.

Lennon... Cleverley...

While Bolasie is by no means the greatest of players he is a player that the manager likes, trusts and most importantly fits the system and pressing style.

The positive on this is that we will have to find a different way of playing, so hopefully his replacement(s) step up and it sparks us into life.

Other than that, this just extenuates the need to have signings ready to come in in the first two weeks of Jan.

Again though - and I can't speak for posters who have cheered, banned or otherwise- there's a huge difference between support and loyalty to Everton and support and loyalty to individual players. The Club, in my lifetime, have done masses to engender that sense of feeling , so while we gripe and whinge sometimes we still love Everton really. Just dragging the shirt over their head on a weekend doesn't instantly translate to requiring support for individual players for me. Would you support vermin like Nile Ranger of they played for us? Or El-Hadji Diouf ? Or utter rot like Snivelley?
Orly Im not proposing blind loyalty or a love in with players we might not like
I gripe and complain like everyone and have personal favourites like everyone
I cant help but be shocked that posters and "supporters" who wish harm to our players, so they wont play
Its callous and inhuman on any level by supporters of any club

Only player we currently have who can put a decent ball into the box, not his fault we tend to have only 1 player in the box who won't attack any ball.
