Ignoring the fact that Mata is world class and Bolasie well, isn't... but they don't play in the same role or even in the same way.

Bolasie is a pure pace merchant, with strength chucked in. Mata is a playmaker, a link player.

It's what makes me think that Bolasie isn't an alternative to Mata. I'm not saying we'll be getting Juan, but it's not like we've gone out and bought a player in that mould...

I know they're different players mate I know I know it's just to me we know we aren't getting mata so this is happening to be seen trying? I don't know lol my heads fell of today

All that waiting for Walsh to recruit players and we've signed 3 players who are at best top 10. Let's face it last two seasons were shambles but Everton aspire top 6 these players going to make us top 6?. Willliams for half that fee and a back up to Kone Mori yes but he's 32 in two weeks and we've paid 12 million. Bolaise? Dreadful pace that's it headless chicken for a player is size and strength he should be adding 10 goals every season. As someone else said kopites blew their money on Downing benteke Carroll these transfers are similar .... Why aren't we signing quality from abroad? Better wide men in Germany Holland and France for 10-15 million. Been absolutely bumped and blagged by the board 'millions' it's took a John stones sale for these signings to come off.
 
Hi, I'm a very occasional poster but my other half is a Palace fan so I see Bolasie 10-15 games a season, particularly over the last few years. Without doubt when he gets on the ball there is a real buzz and he makes things happen, easily the best attacking player on their team. Agreed he goes in and out of a game but we only have Del who can make 20,000 fans stand up in anticipation. Too often he is one pass ahead of the rest of their midfield or he makes an intelligent run they just don't pick up. Yep he definitely can be lazy but can turn a game. Who does he have up there with him? Zaha and Gayle?

I am pretty chuffed we have him, he is a very very good footballer from what I have seen and Palace would have been utterly screwed without him in the past few years. £30m, not too sure on that, but an improvement in the team in my opinion.

top 10 would be an improvement on 11th
 

If we were linked with him for 10mil in January the would be so much fume in here. We're that desperate for signings, people are made up. If Liverpool had paid this much, everyone eould be laughing. Panick buy and I bet Palace are finding this hilarious.
