I can understand your incredulity about the fee, but maybe that's the sort of inflationary figure we need to get used to - have you read any transfer news today, for instance, when a decent midfield player cost £89m and a relatively inexperienced centre half cost £47.5m.
What I really don't understand is your criticism of the player's age and the club he plays for. Check where we bought our 1985 and 1987 League winners from.

1. I don't believe it's 30mil for Bolasie, so should probably stop with that.
2. Giving Mata whatever he would want completely contradicts our current wage structure. Could be a dangerous precedent to set.
