Rubbish yesterday but I'll let him off due to lack of match sharpness. However it instantly provided flashbacks to his awfulness, taking fifteen little touches instead of just passing it to a player, trying too many silly tricks instead of playing simple passes, etc. Not good to watch, but fully expected from me.

It's good to see a player be able to take 15 little touches to retain possession and allow the other 9 players to actually cross the half way line. Now that's what I call hold up play.

and he wasn't rubbish if we compare him to the other players. Did well in his first game for a year.....you did know that didn't you?

Just watched his after match presser, What a terrific person first and foremost....I couldn't stop grinning at the screen.
For all the naysayers out there....CAREER ENDING INJURY !!!...a year out !!!!...and your expecting goals and assists ??? on his first game back ???
Behave
And kudos to Sam for giving the lad a confidence building start
Must see his value in training

Pleasing an Everton fan is one of the most difficult things in the world. FFS remember when Rooney played deep against West Ham was making things tick along and this forum was in uproar berating him. Went a little quiet after he scored a hattrick. When it comes to whingeing and whining very few can beat an Evertonian. lol

And we can provide plenty of cheese on toast to go with all that whine.

Bolasie is going to be so important for us for the rest of the season, with our current set up he's the only player who can force the opposition back. Instead of our current defence vs attack for 90mins.

True this, perfect player for us, cant wait to see him at Goodison

Suprised this thread is so far back.

Has he lost his pace then?

If so he’s finished at premier league level.

No.

Some have never thought he was.

Some don't know what they are talking about.

I reckon most will wait a few games to allow him to regain match fitness after a year off.

Some won't. As I said some don't know what they are talking about.

I wish we went in for Zaha instead, bollasie is very one dimensional and has hardly any goals to his game.

Zaha hadn't proven anything in this league prior to last season. It's far too easy to look through hindsight. Koeman was clearly signing proven PL players at the beginning of last season.

They don't even play the same position. Bolasie is a LW and Zaha is a RW.
